The foundation stone of the Hotel Filser in Oberstdorf was laid in 1952. Michael Thanner's great-aunt, Gerda Filser, and his great-uncle, Georg Filser, gave the starting signal for today's Hotel Filser.
Year after year, smaller and larger building projects followed, which fitted together like pieces of a mosaic. Georg Filser is particularly pleased that he has managed to gain a loyal guest base in a relatively short time since he started. Since then, we have been able to offer our guests a second home every day & show them our beautiful Allgäu.

Yes, there is a weekly changing activity program. Four times a week, our local tour guides will take you safely into the Allgäu mountains. Anecdotes and Allgäu charm are included. There is also mindfulness training, e-bike tours and much more!
In our hotel you will find a spacious, heated swimming pool, a sauna area and of course many massages and treatments for plenty of relaxation after an eventful day in the Allgäu.
To the wellness hotel Oberstdorf
Rooms are available from 3.00 pm on the day of your arrival. We ask you to vacate the room by 11.00 a.m. on the day of departure.
The holiday flats are available from 16:00 on the day of arrival. On the day of departure we ask you to leave the holiday flat by 10:00 am.
W-LAN is available free of charge throughout the house. You will receive the access code at reception during your stay.
Yes, you are allowed to bring your four-legged friend with you. However, access for dogs to some hotel areas is restricted.

Excursions Oberstdorf and the Allgäu?
Oberstdorf ist in erster Linie bekannt als Wintersportort, nicht zuletzt wegen den Nordischen Ski-Weltmeisterschaften der vergangenen Jahre.
A visit to the ski jumping and ski flying hills is therefore definitely worthwhile. Due to its location, surrounded by mountain giants, there are of course numerous peaks with fantastic views, which are also attractive destinations in summer and can be easily conquered by mountain railway (Nebelhorn, Fellhorn, Söllereck etc.). The valleys between the mountains, which you can explore on a walk or bike tour, surprise you with quaint mountain villages (Gerstruben, Einödsbach etc.) and nice places to stop for a break. Another natural spectacle worth seeing is the Breitachklamm gorge and the Gottesacker plateau on the Ifen in Kleinwalsertal.
